Luis Hernandez discovered his passion for cooking at just 10 years old. Born into a family rooted in the food business, he grew up surrounded by the rhythms of kitchens, meals and gathering around food. Chef Hernandez moved to Jackson in 2008 at age 14 and began formally pursuing his culinary interests before graduating high school. Chef Hernandez joined Fine Dining Restaurant Group in 2011, starting in the pantry at Osteria. Driven to learn as much as possible, he quickly progressed: two years later he took over the pasta station and by 2015 he had mastered every station on the line. After Osteria, Chef Hernandez spent time working in the kitchens at Q Roadhouse and The Bistro and became Executive Chef of Bin22 in 2017.
